The brioche with tuppo are a pride of Sicilian pastry, soft and delicious, they can be enjoyed throughout the island generally accompanied by another typical delight, granita, but can also be enjoyed filled with ice cream, both for breakfast and as a snack. The name of these brioches derives from their shape which recalls the traditional low chignon that Sicilian women once wore and which in the regional dialect is called “tuppo”.
